This training prepares participants to conduct qualitative surveys used in the social sciences to complement other survey methods: from constructing the problem statement up to the processing and interpretation of data, and including the design and conduct of semi-structured interviews.
This training aims to provide rigorous methodological tools to carry out qualitative surveys using semi-structured interviews. This is one of the principal qualitative methods proposed in the social sciences. It complements survey methods using closed questions, pre-established response coding, and statistical data processing.
The training consists of four modules that can be followed in the logic order of the investigation process, but each module has been designed to be autonomous:
Constructing the problem statement
Choosing the survey method and preparing the semi-structured interview
Conducting a semi-structured interview
Processing, analysing and interpreting data
